Lasagna Recipe with all Trader Joes Products (Under $12.00)
So, I wanted to pass along my lasagna recipe using all ingredients from Trader Joes. I enjoy cooking dishes that are good, but do not break the bank.
What you need from Trader Joes:
1 box of Lasagna noodles (good news is no boiling required)
1 Jar of your favorite sauce
1 package of their hot italian sausage
1 container of ricotta cheese
1 package of their shredded low fat mozzorella
I add the following seasonings to my lasagna: Salt, Pepper, dried Basil, and dried parsley
Optional items: Parmesan Cheese(grated)
So, here's what you do.
So, here's what you do:
1-Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2-Begin cooking in pan the italian sausage in casing. Once sausage looks cooked begin to break apart while cooking in pan. Lower the heat once sausage is fully cooked and add in the jar of sauce (let the sausage and sauce mix well)
3-Spread sauce in the lasagna pan to coat the bottom and begin to lay the lasagna noodles (try to overlap)
4-Layer in ricotta cheese, sauce with sausage, mozzorella (repeat this step till 2 to 3 times -- depending on your preference)
5-With the last layer coat lasagna noodle with sauce and mozzorella
Note: Recommend leaving some sauce to put on top of lasagna mid-way through cooking process.
Time: 55 minutes in oven (if top part begins to turn brown, then put foil over dish)
Here is the noodle box, which has a recipe you can follow located on side of box. I made my own twist to this so feel free to make it your own too!
The finished product (after we chowed down on it) -- the picture does not do it justice, but guarantee is taste darn good!!!!
Happy Italian Dinner!!!!
