10 things about me....
Hi Everyone-
I know the giveaway for the Naked Palette has been running for a while now and we are certainly in the home stretch. In reading some of the comments people want to learn a few things about me so will create a list of 10. So here we go!
1-Where were you born? Seattle, WA
2-Have you ever lived overseas? Yes. Spain for 5 years and Italy for 1.5 years. My dad was in the Navy so come from a military family.
3-Do you have any siblings? Yes. I have 4 sisters which includes 1 of my step sisters who has my name too!!!! No boys...felt sorry for my dad, BUT he now has grandsons so my sisters made up for this.
4-What's your nationality? I'm 100% filipino. Although, I never been to the Philippines in my life and would say filipino-american.
5-Where did you go to school and what degree did you get? I went to college at University of Florida (home of the GATORS!) and majored in Business specializing in Management Information Science (MIS) and pursued a Masters in Computer Science
6-What line of work are you in? I'm currently a manager for a leader in the financial/banking industry. My background is really with data analytics, reporting development, and data mining. In a nutshell its a Business Analyst to best describe the many hats me and my team wear.
7-So, when do you find time to Youtube? I do this once I'm done with work (typically in the evening) or over the weekends. It's tough to build content, edit a video, and upload. For those who have Channels whom are dedicated for putting out new material it has to be a passion and strong interest just like working a job. So, important thing here is making sure you schedule it in after you complete your normal day to day priorities.
8-Why do you have your Youtube MyDataTips Channel? This is a great question to ask anyone! I do this because I've been inspired by some of the most amazing Youtube gurus. Youtube is just another form of "reality" t.v., but has more substance in most cases. I've learned, laughed, cried, smiled, and been totally inspired on trying to help and share tips of my very own. Something I may think is easy may not to someone else so why not pass it along. I also like the interaction and support a Channel can bring with complete strangers who take time to comment and view. So, in order to pay the support forward giveaways is something I "personally" enjoy doing. If I can put a smile on someones face and help a person or two along the way why not! Also, doing these videos always me to be myself and build confidence in speaking. You really get to see yourself from another lens. :-) BTW, #8 (question 8) is my lucky number!!!!
9-Who inspired you to do this Channel? It's an interesting story. My daughter was on my Apple IPOD watching a video on the Youtube app. She was watching a girl do a Barbie hair tutorial and was like "What are you watching...?" So, started to watch and found myself interested in what she was doing with her hair style. So, from there we (my daughter and I) checked out her Channel and found make-up tutorials as well. From there I was hooked! I noticed one day a new video on ITSJUDYTIME Channel was posted about a meet and greet in San Jose. Well...since I was new to the area and found this kind of fun I joined the meetup. From there I just got inspired to start my own focusing on what I do best. SO....although I like hair and make-up I'm somewhat shy to do any tutorials of this nature since there are so many talented gurus out there. I like to share my exp. with product reviews etc...
10-What do you enjoy doing when you're not working? I love spending time with my daughter, traveling, shopping, and working on my Youtube channel!
